Girth is the widest part around the rib cage, behind the front legs. Choose the girth measurement over the length measurement.
Length variation is from the neck seam to the tailgate seam (shortest length) and neck seam to the tailgate natural opening (longest length). Your dogs length should fall between these measurements.
The oversized storm collar is the collar fully extended. This gives extra protection on rainy days.
